VINTAGE FINDS: MINI PIONEER HARMONICA

This is probably the first time you've ever seen one of these babies before. This little harmonica is called the "PeeWee Pioneer Harmonica" and was made between the years 1945-1952. As you can see in the top picture, the bottom part of the harmonica says that it was "Made in Occupied Japan." The occupation of Japan happened at the end of World War II when the Allied Powers with some support from the British Commonwealth took leadership over Japan, transforming the country into a democracy. Can you believe that this tiny harmonica holds so much history along with it? And better yet, it still plays! This harmonica has been in my family for three generations and I am always proud whenever I wear it around my neck. You might have a family trinket hiding around somewhere, so I encourage to go and find it! Good luck and happy trinket hunting!

xoxo,

Emma :)
