VINTAGE FINDS: GOLD FISHBONE NECKLACE

I have to say, this is one of my favorite pieces of jewlery that I've ever owned! This lovely gold fishbone necklace is an accessory I've worn almost every day since it was given to me by my grandmother. Not only is it fashionable yet simple, it also has a little story behind it. My grandmother had bought this necklace before my mother was born when she lived in Tehran, Iran. When my mother was 14, there was a government overthrow and her family left Iran. Many things were left behind, but my grandmother brought this necklace with her. And years later, it has found a new home right around my neck.
