ADD SOME SPARKLE TO YOUR PHOTOS: TIPS ON SPARKLER PHOTOGRAPHY

Hey guys, want to learn how to cast spells on your friends? Well, I can't teach you that but I CAN teach you how to look like a wizard on camera!! Here's the trick: your magic wand is a sparkler. After reading this, you'll be the next Harry Potter.

Here's what you'll need:

-DSLR/digital camera

-Tripod/place to set your camera

-Sparklers :D (found ours at Aaahs!)

Preferred time of day: just before night falls or night

F stop= high number (In focus)

ISO= low number (100 is ideal; this reduces noise/grain)

Set the shutter speed to 10 seconds so your subject has time to create the design or spell the word of your choice with a lit sparkler. Once you press down the button to take the photo, tell your subject to start moving the sparkler slowly in the desired design or word. If you want to spell a word do it backwards, we recommend practicing this. :) Also try not to move your body while you're drawing. As you can see in the top photo, there's two of me! Sometimes it can look cool though ;)

And poof! You're a photography wizard! I hope you all try out some sparkler photos and share your results with us! I'm sure your photos will be...

;) Until next time, darlings <3
