THE GO GET EM' BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE

Happy MLK weekend everyone! Don't you just love how there is a whole day in America dedicated to such an incredibly amazing human being? And don't you just love how we all get a day off? It's like a mini vacation!! But then it dawns on you. Yes, that moment when you realize that you have to return to the daily grind once Tuesday hits. We've got a little remedy for the 3-day-weekend-blues that will make your morning brighter (and definitely keep you energized). Plus, you can make it ahead of time. Double score!! :) We know you're a go-getter and with that kind of personality you need a breakfast to match. Let's get to it then!

Gather all those delicious and nutritious ingredients!

Cut up your fruit into small pieces or slices and put them in your blender. Then add the milk. As you can see, Emma's blender is pretty small making everything inside it look huge (it's actually a to-go cup/blender in one)!

After blending the fruit and milk mixture, add the greek yogurt and chia seeds and blend again.

Pour your smoothie into a glass and top it off with some granola and agave nectar. If you don't have agave, honey works too. Also, you don't need to add granola but it tastes SO good on smoothies!

Doesn't that look si magnifique? Now here's the recipe that will kickstart your week off a little sweeter AND healthier. You can take on everything your schedule throws at you with this smoothie by your side!

Ingredients:

4-5 strawberries

A handful of raspberries

1/2 a banana

4-5 pieces of mango

1/4 cup of 2% milk

1/2 a container of greek yogurt

1 tablespoon of chia seeds

Toppings:

A handful of granola

1 tablespoon of agave nectar

Directions:

1) Cut up the strawberries into slices, the mango into little cubes, and the banana into slices. Throw those all into a blender along with a nice handful of raspberries (got to get all those antioxidants)! Then pour in the milk.

2) Blend this all until it is completely mixed. Then add the greek yogurt and chia seeds and blend again.

3) Pour the smoothie into a regular sized glass and top it off with some granola and agave as desired. Sip and enjoy!

Super easy, super delicious, and super healthy! This smoothie is a triple threat. You'll be up and at em' this Tuesday morning! Go get em' tiger, we're absolutely positive you'll do something awesome this week. ;)
