THE PRETTIEST WAY TO STORE YOUR EARRINGS

Let's face it, anyone who has their ears pierced is bound to have more than just a single pair of earrings to keep track of. I know personally that I'm constantly switching out my earrings because A. I absolutely LOVE jewelry and B. The rest of the world knows that, so I constantly recieve earrings as presents. The only problem is that as my collection continues to grow, my storage space continues to shrink. But lo and behold, I think I found the perfect solution to solve that issue by using a dainty-looking frame I decked out with some ribbon to store my precious metals and gems. :) If you love a pretty space-hack then read on!

All you need is:

3 1/2 feet of 1-inch wired ribbon

4 x 6 frame

Hot glue gun

Scissors (not pictured)

Ruler (optional)

Pencil (optional)

First measure out how much ribbon you need to go across the frame horizontally, making sure you leave enough room for the dip on either side of the frame. The dip I'm referring to is where I bent the ribbon in the photo above. Leave about a 1/2 inch of extra ribbon on either side.

Once you cut the ribbon accordingly, measure out three equal sections on the frame. You can mark it with a pencil or eyeball it (which I did), but it's totally up to you. Once you've got everything all measured out go ahead and start gluing down your ribbon. Put one dot on the edge of the dip and another on the actual back of the frame. Quick tip: use a pair of scissors or a pencil to press the ribbon down while it's sticking so you don't burn yourself.

It takes practically two seconds for the glue to dry, so once that's done you can start to poke your earrings through the ribbon. This is actually the hardest part about this craft because you have to think about where to put your bigger earrings (the middle makes the most sense) and also, how you want your earrings to look next to each other. What a daunting mission you have at hand. Good luck my fellow crafty comrade, and may your earring storage be as successful and pretty as you! :)

xoxo,

Emma
